What Else Hotel

Calling it the White Room is misleading. Avoid it at all costs. I'll post the manager's email in a future review so people can see how professional she is. Four stars for €122 a night.

With winter coming, I'd advise against this hotel. The room was freezing when I arrived, and the heating was broken. I spent the whole night cold and didn't sleep. I mentioned it at reception in the morning, but felt like I was bothering them. 142,67 € a night is too much to pay to be cold.

The rooms are spotless, the beds are very comfortable, and breakfast is a real plus, especially the excellent coffee and organic pastries. I stayed in both a studio and a “Color” room. The studio is better equipped, with a Nespresso machine, a refrigerator, and a terrace table. A tilt-and-turn window would have made it just right. The hotel sits in an industrial area, which works well for a visit to the Bugey nuclear power plant. It's a group of three different hotels, and I highly recommend it.

For a weekend night, it was a pleasant stay. The room was roomy, the bedding was excellent, and it was completely quiet. Getting the key from the lockbox was easy, and the staff member I met was very friendly. Breakfast was decent, particularly the continental choice. The price felt a little high, and there was no shower gel, just a small bar of soap, but otherwise it was great.
