Duck House

We were only there for one night, which was a shame, because the room was beautiful and romantic and breakfast was wonderful. The house and its hostess made us feel so welcome and warm. She even recommended a lovely restaurant and took us to the neighbor's fish farm, where we had delicious food, beautiful music, and such a lovely evening. Thank you so much for accommodating us while officially closed for vacation, especially since we'd mistakenly booked a week too early. With so much war and conflict in the world, it was refreshing to meet people with such openness and warmth. I'm German, and during our trip along the Seine from Paris to Le Havre and our cycling tour along the river and through Normandy, I was reminded more than once not to take that kind of welcome for granted. Dear Chantal, thank you again. We returned safely to Reutlingen. ☀️🚴🚴🇫🇷

Breakfast was enormous, and it gave us plenty of time to chat with the very friendly owner, who was clearly pleased to have visitors. The house has real, authentic charm, and the garden was lovely, with different levels and several quiet, cozy corners. A truly relaxing stay.

We had a comfortable room and a very generous breakfast in this half-timbered house in a charming Normandy village by the Seine. The hostess welcomed us perfectly, and we were glad we chose the dinner option too. She's an excellent cook.

We only stayed one night, but had a great time. The house and garden are charming, and the bathroom was superb and suited the rest of the house. We found it easily thanks to the clear signs, and it's very well placed for St. Wandrille Abbey. My only reservations were the small size of the rooms, especially the one beside the main bedroom, and how close the house is to the road. That wasn't really our very kind host's fault, though. It was a successful first visit, and I'll come back.
