The room was nice, and the view was great. There's a short walk to a perfectly beautiful beach, and everything else about the place was just fine. Check-in and check-out were awkward, though, because nobody there seemed authorized to handle them. I spoke with a friendly, helpful young man from the restaurant, Boston's, whose English was great. My friend's English is very mediocre, but I'm virtually certain language wasn't the problem, it just seemed the right person wasn't on staff. After all that travel, an easy, quick check-in matters, and that's why I'm taking off a star. Follow the road signs when you arrive. If you go the wrong way, you'll end up on an absolutely insane hill and have to back down awkwardly when you realize it won't work.

The location is nice, with a view and close to the beach. The rooms, though, need work: the furniture should be changed, and the walls need fresh paint.

The location was perfect and the staff were friendly, but I have mixed feelings. The apartment is dated, though functional, and anyone with a disability should know the building is really steep. The restaurant isn't always open, and we didn't know whether we'd be able to eat there. We got caught out at first, so we had to eat before going in or head out again afterward. The €72 tourist tax was outrageous!

We had a very pleasant stay, with charming, welcoming owners and comfortable bedding. The lush garden and lovely pool were great, and the food was excellent. There's also an exceptional view of the beautiful nearby Anse Figuier beach.
