Residence Bel'Soleil

We had a lovely two weeks in a clean, well equipped two bedroom apartment with our 11 month old baby. The apartment had what we needed for a comfortable stay, although the walls are thin. Luckily, our neighbors were quiet. The residence is clean and cleaned daily, and it’s only 500 meters from the beach. We could walk everywhere. The caretaker and her husband gave us a warm welcome and were incredibly attentive, sharing helpful information about the area and contacts across Martinique. I highly recommend the residence. We’re going back in March 2023!

Sainte-Anne is fantastic, and this residence is in a quiet neighborhood just steps from the beach and Club Med. The studios are clean and well equipped, with a fairly reasonable price for the area.

*A bunch of crooks and incompetents* I booked the "Soleil Levant" T3 apartment in early January 2021 for two weeks in March, and received an automatic email confirmation. Because I wasn’t getting enough information, I emailed the residence. They replied to confirm they had my reservation. Two days before we left for Martinique, I called and told a "secretary" that our flight would get in around 7:00 PM, so we expected to reach the residence around 9:00 PM. Everything seemed fine. On the day we flew, I called to say the plane was 30 minutes late. Nobody answered. I tried at least five times while waiting for our luggage, then around ten more times during the 45-minute drive. After a 20-hour journey from Italy, with our exhausted 3-year-old, we arrived to find the lights off and the gate locked. I called another ten times and tried asking neighbors for help, but couldn’t reach anyone. I eventually went inside and found no one, just lots of cockroaches running through the hallways. It was an unbelievable, stressful situation after such a long trip, especially with a young child. Luckily, a family member living in Martinique found us a sofa bed for the night. We then had to drive another 50 minutes late at night, after 20 hours of travel. I can only imagine how this would have gone for a tourist with no relatives on the island. During our two weeks in a last minute residence run by people who were supposedly reputable, I tried many times to contact them and never got a reply. I strongly advise against choosing "Résidence Bel Soleil" if you want an organized trip and hope to avoid unpleasant surprises. They’re incompetent and disrespectful, and their management is unacceptable. I suppose they’ll at least miraculously "come back to life" to answer this review with profuse apologies. Good luck!

We stayed in two studios next to each other. The residence was spotless and had everything we needed, and the beach was only about a five-minute walk away.
