B&B Le Clos Saint-Jean - Omaha Beach

That nearby beach was my favorite part of the trip. At low tide, you can see little caves and tide pools, and the whole area felt so quiet and peaceful. After a semester in London, we really needed the fresh air and space. Our rooms were clean, well kept, and roomy enough for us. Breakfast was a treat every day, with Caroline happy to accommodate our picky boys and keep my husband and me supplied with coffee. We were lucky to stay with Caroline during our April trip to the Normandy beaches. The location worked perfectly as a base, though having a car helped a lot. Traffic made us later than planned, but Caroline still greeted us warmly and kept the kids entertained while we handled the luggage. The next morning, she had English guidebooks about Normandy and the D Day beaches ready for us to borrow. Highly recommend. If we make it back, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Those D-Day festivities on Omaha Beach were a memorable part of our time in the Omaha Beach-Normandy region. Beforehand, Caroline and I exchanged plenty of emails from the US and France as I asked questions about the events, which helped us be in the right place for them. My brother and I spent four nights with Caroline at Le Clos Saint Jean. It was very well located for attending the D-Day (6-6-25) celebration. Caroline was attentive and even offered to do laundry for us, since we had another seven days in Paris after leaving. Each morning our table was set with a lovely spread of food and flowers. Thank you, Caroline, for such a memorable stay!

Breakfast was the part of our week we’ll remember most fondly. Caroline brought out a wide choice of delicious things each morning, and the fresh yoghurt was our favorite. The rooms were very neat, and the location made it easy to reach most attractions around the Normandy beaches. Caroline was so helpful whenever we had questions or wanted recommendations nearby. We had an amazing week here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a vacation to remember. I wish five stars weren’t the limit.

Le Clos St Jean exceeded our expectations. It’s a great base for exploring Normandie, just a literal stone's throw from Omaha Beach in St Honorine des Pertes. Breakfast is included, and Caroline, the owner and host, makes everything fresh from scratch, so don’t miss it.
