The view from this hillside apartment over the ocean is amazing, and when the weather is clear you can see St. Lucia from the balcony. It felt calm and quiet, which is why I was glad we hadn’t booked a hotel right on the beach. I stayed 12 days and was very happy with it. It's a block of eight apartments, with a full kitchen and dishes provided, plus a dome-style mosquito net. The garden is lovely and well kept. The huge balcony has two sunbeds and is very comfortable for two people, though I wouldn’t recommend it for four unless saving money is the main goal. Cyndra was helpful and easy to reach anytime. A washing machine is available if you ask. You really need a car, and the road up to the house is very steep. The nearby village of Saint-Luce is about 1.5 km away on the shore and has plenty of restaurants. Bring earplugs if you’re on an upper level, since rain on the aluminum roof is noisy.

We spent nine peaceful days surrounded by flowers and greenery, with a splendid view of St. Lucia. Our hosts made us feel so warmly welcome, and the apartment was spotless. Sitting out in the fresh air on the big terrace was a real pleasure. A car is a must if you want to see the area and the rest of Martinique. The coast is rugged, but Résidence aux Vents is worth the effort of getting there.

There's parking at the residence, and the apartments are clean, spotless and well laid out. Each morning, the owner may offer you a coconut or a soursop. Résidence aux Vents is in the place called le Trou au diable in Sainte Luce, Martinique. Once you've driven up the steep hill to the upper part of Sainte Luce, the view across the bay of Le Marin is magnificent. For that view alone, this is the place to rent.

We had a pleasant stay in a clean apartment with a well-equipped kitchen, and the welcome was warm. The residence is beautiful, with a splendid view of Sainte-Luce Bay. Getting around is the drawback. It's at the top of a fairly steep slope, so without a car access to the property and trips into town or elsewhere on the island are very limited. We also found the double room a little small for a couple. Even so, we highly recommend the place.
