The hills, trees, and fruit made for the quiet countryside stay we were after, and there was plenty of Calvados and Cidre to sample. My girlfriend and I spent two nights in rooms on Hugues' farm, years after I first met him at a local liquor store. He'd run out of his Calvados, so Hugues came by within an hour with more, opened a wooden crate, and tasted it with me while telling me about it. I knew I had to visit the farm on my next trip to France. Amazing experience. More to come, with pictures.

During a weekend away with friends nearby, we toured Hugues' estate. He clearly loves what he does and was generous about sharing his craft with us. Then we got to try his excellent products. Thanks so much for a lovely time together!

The pitch looks out over pear and apple trees, and the area is so peaceful we ended up staying two nights. Corinne and Hugo were super friendly. When we arrived in our mobile home, they offered us cider and calvados to taste, both delicious, and even gave us a little extra after we bought some. We'll definitely come back. Best, Nancy

The organic semi-dry cider was absolutely excellent when I tried it. Still, I'm taking off a star because I think it's a shame that Corinne's name is printed so tiny at the bottom of the label.

Stopped by briefly this morning to try the different products. The service was excellent, and the pommeau deserves a special mention for its very high quality. It's organic and has no added gas, unlike many producers, including some organic ones. That effort deserves recognition.
