The soundproofing was practically nonexistent, and the shower felt made for someone under five feet tall. Those were small issues, though, and easy to overlook. We stayed two nights at the start of October in a characterful room looking over the garden and pool, with views of the beach and bay. The location was fantastic, an easy walk into Ste. Maxime, and breakfast in the pool house had plenty of choice. Check-in was very easy. Recommended.

Room 15, the apartment, has a private, sheltered terrace, air conditioning in the main room and bedroom, two bathrooms, cooking facilities, and daily cleaning. It's literally across the road from the beach, and the pool with loungers meant we could stay in without leaving the apartment. Even in the height of summer, there were only a few other people around the pool. Really recommended. St. Maxime itself wasn't very interesting to us, and we found only a couple of decent restaurants, but that's nothing to do with this wonderful hotel.

The balcony had a lovely view, and the beach is close by. Our room was spacious and very clean. A beautiful hotel.

Three stars is far too generous. It was nasty, ugly, expensive, and unfriendly.
