VVF Golfe de Saint-Tropez, Sainte Maxime

The New Year's Eve dinner was organized perfectly, and the entertainer's program was really interesting. We had a wonderful time thanks to the whole team. Everything was so well organized, and the team put in such enthusiastic effort. There was a good variety on the menu, and the dishes were delicious. Thank you!

It's a lovely place, but the grounds weren't well maintained. The staff were generally pleasant. The rooms were small and hygiene was only average. It's also far from everything, so having a car or taking the bus is essential, though the VVF is well placed if you want to spend every day at the beach. The food was bland. The packed lunches were especially poor: sliced bread with ham or tuna, and staff seemed to get the orders wrong. At that price, that's unacceptable.

The location is the part we'll remember: just 15 metres from the beach, with great hiking and cycling trails nearby. The sunshine, pool and atmosphere were lovely too, and the host's smile came with a week of helpful advice, information and discoveries. The rooms were small, which was understandable given the location, but they were dusty and not well maintained. A lock was only repaired on the third day, and the curtains needed attention. The food was passable for the first three days, but portions were small and it was frozen. The dining room was noisy and not very clean. We also had to set out cutlery for our whole group on two evenings. Most frustrating was departure day. We were due to leave at 8:00 AM, with breakfast at 7:00 before a nine-hour bus ride with our bikes. The doors stayed locked until 7:25, with no explanation. The only person around to answer us was a young employee who seemed overwhelmed. Even so, we'll remember the location, the sunshine, the pool, the atmosphere, and the host's smile.
