That little town square is lively, and I love the church with the parachutist, plus all the bars, restaurants, souvenir shops and the big supermarket. We also really enjoy the site itself, so this is our second year staying here after arriving from Ireland in Cherbourg to begin a seven-week motorhome trip. We had an 8m motorhome and found the spacious, mature pitches comfortable, with shade or sun to choose from. They’re well kept, too. The family running the place are lovely. This year they’ve added a small outdoor bar serving frites, pizza and more. There’s a play area for children, and the shower and toilet block is great, with music to keep you entertained. The site is right behind the 101st Airborne WWII DDay museum, which is a must-see. One small suggestion: the two army trucks used as campers are a nice touch, but they’re looking run down. A fresh coat of paint and new decals could make them more of an attraction. We love Ste Mere Eglise and this site, and will be back for our third visit next year. It’s a great start to a holiday and a handy stop for touring Normandy and the DDay beaches.

The staff are lovely and helpful, and the toilets and showers are very good. The site is popular and only a short walk from the town centre, but it feels tired. There are potholes along the roadway that could trip someone up, and with no lighting at night, they could be dangerous. The old army-style trucks also look worn out and could use an upgrade.
A good spot for visiting Saint-Mere-Eglise and its museum, and the site is excellent value. The hot showers are included, while electricity is available at every pitch for a small extra charge. There’s no WiFi around the site. It’s a small campsite with different kinds of accommodation, plus roomy, well-sheltered tent pitches.
The town has a surprisingly good choice of bars, restaurants and shops for somewhere so small, and it’s close to the Airborne museum. The site itself is clean and family run, with cabins, motorhomes and tents. Washrooms are very good, with plenty of hot water, and there are laundry machines. Reception has friendly staff, local produce and bike hire.
We stayed in our motorhome in May 2025, mainly to visit the 101st Airborne museum. The pitches were great, and the staff were friendly. The toilets and showers were very clean. All in all, an excellent site. Highly recommend.
