Le Clos de Loré

The meal at Clos de Loré was excellent from start to finish. We were staying in the Mayenne region near Évron with our children and decided to try it after seeing the reviews. From the €35 set menu, we had crispy duck, salt pork, salmon with risotto, pork chop, poached pear, and a cheese plate. The chef clearly knows what they’re doing, and we all enjoyed it. Bravo, and thank you for a wonderful experience.

There were eight of us for Sunday lunch, and the cooking was superb. We waited 40 minutes between the appetizer and main course, which was a bit too long, but we’ll still come back. The glasses weren’t transparent, so we had to wipe them, though the staff replaced them. We also ordered a cocktail with popcorn, which was a real shame. This restaurant deserves white tablecloths and cloth napkins.

The calm, pleasant setting was a lovely place to enjoy a leisurely meal, and the service was attentive without getting in the way. At Clos de Loré, we felt at ease from the warm, professional welcome. The food was refined and beautifully presented, with quality ingredients, balanced flavors, precise cooking, and well-judged seasoning. The sauces and side dishes especially brought the meal together. A dependable, reassuring place that I wholeheartedly recommend.
