Breakfast was generous, and we ate by the pool in a flower-filled garden. Bertrand was helpful with local recommendations and even let us leave the car in his garden. The house has belonged to the same family for five generations and sits in the centre of Sainte Valiere, right beside the church. Our room, Hoggar, was lovely, clean, and spacious, with a separate bedroom that sleeps two children. Our seven-year-old daughter loved having her own room and the family house.
