Auberge de la Fadaise

I picked this place for its proximity to the Pont de Gau parc ornithologique and stayed three nights. The room was clean and comfortable, and the service was great. Laurence really went out of her way to make me feel welcome and comfortable, so I’d happily stay here again. Merci beaucoup Laurence!

The pool was amazing, and there’s a lovely horse ride nearby that lets you explore the camargue. The Parc Ornithologique is just across the street, and Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer is very close too. The place itself is peaceful, and the people were so friendly. It’s a little oldish, but that didn’t bother us. Highly recommended.

We were happy with the comfortable room, swimming pool, kind staff, and handy location: the ornithologic park is opposite, and the town is five minutes away by car. You can also go on horse excursions. The problem came on our last day, when a town-wide water issue left the whole complex without water. We chose to leave and lose the cost of one night. The staff didn’t seem concerned and didn’t even offer breakfast as a gesture to show they were sorry. :-(

It feels like paradise, with Camargue horses, birds, beavers, beautiful beaches, and nature all around. The Wi-Fi is very slow, but I barely minded. The pool is just a few steps from the room and I really liked it. There are six lovely horses at the front of the property, and I fed them carrots every day. I highly recommend staying here, and I’m already planning another trip.
