Manade Cavallini - Mas de Pioch

Great, nothing to complain about.

I came away wanting to return. The ranch tour felt authentic and was fascinating, and Myriam’s breakfasts were a real treat, always brought with a smile. I spent a whole unforgettable week there, made even better by Laura’s warm welcome and kindness. The atmosphere is so friendly, and you can feel the passion behind the place. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

We spent four days in mid-June in the cottage, then two in a hotel room. The cottage is spacious, modern, and set in nature about 1.5 km away, with cattle herds and plenty of birdlife nearby. It was lovely being able to watch the cattle up close, and the variety of birds was a highlight. Back at the hotel wing, we enjoyed breakfast outside on the terrace, shaded parking, and a beautiful pool among untouched pines and cypresses. Mas de Pioch (Manade Cavallini) is a detached farmstead that has bred Camargue cattle for decades, and it’s a great fit for nature lovers looking for an authentic Camargue stay. There’s some wear on the buildings and furnishings, but it adds to the historic property’s character.

We had a wonderful week in the studio, which was well equipped. Being right in the Camargue was fantastic, and nearby we could watch the herdsmen sorting the bulls for that day’s races.
