Mas des Rièges

Breakfast arrived at our patio at 08:30, with plenty of pastries and baguettes, plus fresh fruit and yoghurt. A lovely way to start the day. The historic centre is about a 15-minute walk, with lots of restaurants, cafés, bars, tourist shops, ice cream bars, and takeaway pizza at Viva Las Vegas. Our little gîte was finished to a high standard, with a dishwasher, induction hob, microwave, and fridge freezer. The ensuite master bedroom had enough air conditioning to cool the modest-sized rooms. The gîtes sit around a beautiful pool and spa, and the whole place is made for relaxing, whether that's a hot tub treatment and massage or just time by the pool. The calm really does help you forget your troubles. The setting and friendly staff made for a lovely holiday.

It really wasn't very good.

The only catch is that you have to book more than one night. Otherwise, this is a beautiful place to stay in the heart of the Camargue. Mas des Rieges is in a stunning setting, and the cottages are cosy, well-equipped, and lovingly furnished. We felt right at home, and the staff were friendly, reachable, and happy to answer questions. It was spotlessly clean, which matters a lot to me. From the balcony, we could go straight into the garden, where horses roam freely and can be fed. Our children loved that. There's also a lovely pool area, and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed. A great choice if you're after nature, peace, and authentic charm.
