The hotel is borderline rotten. The carpet was peeling off, as was the door frame. I’d asked them to confirm wheelchair accessibility, but the room labelled as having disabled access had a hip bath, great for one person in a wheelchair. The best part was being told at reception that I shouldn’t have booked through booking.

The meal was good value, and the staff were really friendly. I appreciated the welcome, and it’s a lovely setup for children: they held a drawing competition to benefit a charity, which meant free meals for kids. Great initiative.

Their website says they’re open every day, but they’re closed on weekends.
