We were three, including our child, and spent one night here before crossing to the UK on 2 Aug. After a long drive, the pool and a walk to the beach were just what we’d hoped for. Room 15 is a ground-floor apartment. It was tidy and clean, and the bedding on the sofa bed was fresh. That bed was the problem for me. It looked decent, but I found it very uncomfortable, and it creaked whenever I moved, waking the others. We also couldn’t tilt the ground-floor windows open for secure overnight ventilation, so the only window we could leave open was in the bathroom. With no airflow, the apartment got uncomfortable. Because of the sofa bed and the lack of secure ventilation, we wouldn’t choose that apartment again. I’m sure our friendly hosts would have tried to find a fix if we’d stayed longer, but we were only there for one night.

The breakfast was excellent, and the charge for our electric car was very reasonable. The road outside is quite busy in the daytime, though it was surprisingly quiet at night. For a restaurant you can walk to, head right, go up the dyke (digue), then follow it north for about 15 minutes. At the town centre, leave the dyke and walk north to the Indian/Pakistan restaurant Le Kashmir.

We spent a couple of days here while touring northern France and the UK. The beach is only a few metres away, and there’s a lovely seafood place down the road. It’s close enough to the ferry port to be handy, but far enough away to feel like a romantic, relaxing break. The owners were very kind, and the bed was comfortable.

This was my second time at the hotel. The owner is very kind, the breakfast is great, and I enjoyed the spa and rooms. It’s close to Calais and the beach. Hope we can come back soon. Thanks, and kind regards.

We had a lovely long weekend here. The heated pool was fantastic, and the location and facilities were just right. The beach is less than 100 metres away, and it’s an amazing stretch of coast. Highly recommend it.
