Hotel Osteria a Stella

We felt at home in this family-run hotel, thanks to the attentive, charming staff. The restaurant is a treat too, especially the excellent desserts and the lobster pasta, which I highly recommend.

I’d gladly return on another work trip to Corsica. I only spent one night here, but the recently renovated hotel was spotless, and my simply decorated room was pleasant. At the restaurant, the owner made my steak tartare right in front of me, which was a nice touch for a meat lover. The tiramisu with local biscuits was excellent, and both service and presentation were impeccable. The tasteful decor had a holiday feel, and the meal was good value.

The prices do reflect the quality, so it may not suit you if you’re watching your spending. But the chef and his wife are welcoming, and their small, no-frills hotel-restaurant serves fresh, quality local meat and fish, cooked to order. We had a very good meal.

The owners gave us a charming welcome, and dinner and breakfast on the terrace made for a lovely visit. The food was excellent. Our room was simple and pleasant; the bathroom was a little small, but that hardly mattered. Highly recommend.
