Résidence Marea Resort

Julie at reception was a huge help, always pleasant and available if we needed anything. Jorge at the restaurant and bar also deserves a thank you for his smile and great service. Our one-room apartment was clean and nice, with air conditioning, and the Wi-Fi was strong. The beach wasn’t too crowded, and the family-friendly spot is just a few hundred feet from the beach and a clean swimming pool.

We’d already booked our flights after reserving five nights at Marea Resort through Booking and paying directly, so cancelling wasn’t an easy option. It was summer in Corsica, and finding another place for us and our six-year-old would have been hard. Booking is now looking for a solution. Before we booked, I tried to get answers to a few questions by email and WhatsApp, but heard nothing. Later on the day we booked, the property sent a message through Booking saying I could cancel for free, even though I hadn’t asked to cancel. Then they sent lots of WhatsApp messages telling me the apartment wasn’t available and that I should cancel. The tone was unpleasant. Communication with Marea Resort seemed almost impossible, and it came across as if they didn’t care much about potential guests and were trying to mislead people. It looks like a very nice place, but the management should be ashamed.

We visited as a family of five and had a great time. The apartment was spacious and lovely, and the restaurant and beach bar looked beautiful and stylish. The crew were friendly and eager to help. On the beach, you can rent paddle boards, jet skis and sailboats.

Really nice apartments, with a spotless pool and surrounding area. The staff were friendly and helpful.
