The booking was for two bedrooms, but we were given a one bedroom apartment with a sofa bed. The accommodation wouldn’t compensate us or help fix the rental agency’s mistake. The bathroom was disgusting, with mould and water damaged furniture. Furnishings were basic, and there was just one lamp in the bedroom. The kitchen had very few utensils and a broken fan. For a week’s stay, we weren’t given extra garbage bags, dish soap, a dish cloth, or a towel for drying dishes. At least the neighbour had a karaoke machine and played all the greatest hits at full volume!!!

The beach was only a few hundred feet away and wasn’t too crowded, and the swimming pool was clean. Our one room apartment was nice and clean, with air conditioning and strong WIFI. Julie at reception was so pleasant and helpful, and was there if we needed her. Jorge at the restaurant/bar always had a smile and gave great customer service. A great spot for families.

It seems like a very nice place, but the management should be ashamed of themselves. After we booked the Marea Resort, we booked our flights, so cancelling would have been a real problem. It was peak summer on Corsica and hard to find somewhere else with our 6 year old child. Then the property emailed through Booking to say I could cancel for free, even though I hadn’t asked to. They followed up with a lot of WhatsApp messages telling me to cancel because the apartment wasn’t available, and the tone was unpleasant. Before booking, I’d tried to contact them with questions by email and WhatsApp but got no reply. Booking is now looking for a solution. The Marea Resort people don’t seem to care much about potential clients, and it feels like they’re trying to mislead people. Communicating with them is almost impossible.

We visited as a family of five. The crew were friendly and service minded, and the apartment was spacious and lovely. There’s a stylish restaurant/beach bar, and you can rent paddle boards, jet ski and sail boats at the beach. Great place.
