La Canardière

We had the place to ourselves, camping under an old olive tree beside the special “holy house.” It felt like travelling and camping in South Africa. Pascale and Philippe were friendly and helpful, and glad to share what they know. Pascale’s homemade products are a must-buy! We hope they and Korsika get a few years of good rain...

A cute little farm and a lovely place to spend a night or two.

A lovely mobile home in a really quiet spot.

We only meant to stay a short while, but my partner and I kept extending our visit because we hated to leave such a relaxing place. We chose to drive a bit farther during the day to see the sights and keep the campsite as our base. It’s in a beautiful, wild area, close to Saint-Florent and handy for the Agriates Desert and the lovely beaches. Our tent pitch was shady and comfortable, with the bathrooms and kitchen fairly close by. The dirt access road is easy to drive, just take it slowly. For a fair price, the campsite has the basics covered: clean bathrooms with toilet paper, free hot showers, a shared fridge and freezer, and a dining room with a large communal table. Pascale was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. She and her husband put a lot of care into running the farm and campsite, and always had a smile for guests. Their gentle dog was lovely company too. Birds singing, birds of prey calling, and crickets at night made it feel so peaceful. Thank you for everything.
