Arraya

The staff were excellent, and the hotel has so much space and old-world charm. The decor is really tasteful, with lots of dark wood and beams. Food and drinks on the terrace, just perfect.

The dinner and breakfast were superb, and the staff were fantastic hosts. Our room looked out over the back garden and pool, with a quiet little nook for our kids to sleep in. We were here with our two children, aged 11 and 8, and we all loved it. Hotel Arraya is beautiful and full of charm. The kids loved the pool, watching the horses over the back fence and petting the cat. We wish we could’ve stayed longer and hope to come back soon!

Hotel Arraya went well beyond what we expected. We arrived soaked and muddy after a frankly horrible day on the GR10 in pouring rain. My partner and I couldn’t face a night in a tent, so on the descent into Sare we called around to find a room. Most places were full, probably because of the rain, but Hotel Arraya welcomed us at a very reasonable last-minute price. The owner kindly upgraded us to a more luxurious room overlooking the village square, and they took our boots to dry for the next day’s walk. We slept really well, then had some delightful local delicacies at breakfast. The owners clearly know hospitality, from our arrival to our departure. We didn’t get to try the restaurant, so that’s another reason I’d go out of my way to stay again. We’ve already recommended the hotel to family and friends, and will definitely return in the near future. 5 stars all day long :)

We had a really peaceful, relaxing stay on our second visit, which had been delayed because of Covid. The location and pool are great, the restaurant is lovely, and the owners and staff made us feel so welcome. The hotel cat deserves a special mention too, he’s truly lovely. We’ll be back.
