A good spot for water sports, with a decent swimming area and clean water. The sea is very salty and has a fishy smell, and the shoreline isn't all sand, there are rocks along the edges.

We've been coming to this lovely place for years. It's still not too busy, and the sea is just across the road. Hermine, the owner, is so welcoming and happy to accommodate our requests. The apartments are basic, but have what you need.

We've stayed here for a second year now and plan to return. A Rossa is easy to recommend. Mrs. Quilici is lovely and can give you tips in impeccable Italian on beaches and unusual places to visit. There's also a bar downstairs where the cappuccinos are just right. The apartments are roomy and comfortable, with everything needed to cook. We usually got supplies at the supermarket in Solenzara, though there's a small shop in town too. Two nearby restaurants and pizzerias are an easy walk away, with fair prices and very good food. Favone Bay is right there, with the beach across the coastal road and beautiful, clean water. Nearby coves include Canelle, Tarco, and Fautea. If you want to explore farther, the popular southeast beaches, wilder and windier spots in the southwest, and long sandy stretches up the east coast are all easy to reach.
