The smell of goose fat is the first thing you notice at this hotel, even at 7 in the morning. It's at a curved junction of six streets, so it can get noisy. The rooms vary despite costing the same: some are small, but really comfortable. And be careful about what counts as “good food.” Foie gras can be harmful to your health, and duck breast cooked in goose fat with potatoes isn't a balanced meal.

Great location, but the rooms are worn and it's very noisy if your room faces the front. We didn't stay the second night because the dusty pillows and linens triggered our allergies. Fine if you're after somewhere basic and cheap.

Right in the town centre, and a beautiful hotel. The restaurant food was superb. Highly recommend it.

The staff were very friendly, and the restaurant even sent food up while I had to take a work call. When the wifi stopped working, reception got someone to check it and it was fixed fairly quickly. Breakfast got a bit repetitive, though the fresh fruit salad and croissants were incredible. The location is excellent, right by the old town entrance, and the hotel has lots of history and charm. The rooms can be hit or miss. Most are reached by a tiny elevator, but some involve climbing several flights of stairs. Half our group stayed at the top of the tower, where there was air conditioning. The others were above the restaurant and had no AC during a heatwave, though they were given a standing fan. Ah well, it was a fun experience!

The food was really tasty, and the value for money was hard to believe. It's dog-friendly too. Our waiter, Marie France, and the rest of the team were so kind, always in a good mood, and very friendly. Service was quick and efficient, and the food was top quality. What more could you want?
