That old olive tree gives the garden a lot of character, and it’s a lovely spot for a relaxed meal. The service was attentive and everyone was welcoming. I also really enjoyed the lemon chicken: tender pieces in a bright, tangy sauce with a nice citrus and herb balance. The restaurant is tucked near the busy train station, so it works for a quick stop before a train or dinner with friends.

For what I paid, the room wasn’t convenient. There was no toilet in it, and it was cold because the heating was off. The owner didn’t seem bothered, and offered an extra blanket, as if I should just cover up while in the room. I could also hear noise from the nearby train station. Not worth it.

A small, friendly bar in Sartrouville. I think you can bet there too, so it could suit you if you’re into horse racing or the lottery.
