Les Hirondelles du Moulin

We arrived around 9:45 at night, and the couple running the place welcomed us with big smiles and didn’t mind the late hour at all. They showed us around a little. There are only two rooms at the moment, with a third still being built. Our room was great, and the bathroom was the biggest I’ve come across in Europe so far. The shower was amazing too. Breakfast was lovely, with very fresh cheese and jam they make themselves. It’s the couple’s kindness that really made the stay for me. They were wonderful, and I’d absolutely recommend the hotel.

The hosts gave us really useful suggestions for eating locally, including a takeaway vegetarian pizza in our case. It was also a great spot for exploring the Loire Chateaux. The en-suite room was lovely, and the dining kitchen had everything we needed. There’s a superb choice of facilities both inside and out, and the hosts were brilliant. Definitely recommended.

The host was really kind and helpful. The place felt new, and everything was very nice and clean, though the room didn’t have much of a countryside feel.

The windows looked out onto peaceful views, and we really enjoyed the quiet country setting. We also appreciated the hosts’ dinner suggestion, along with our room and the hosts themselves. If getting away from the well-trodden route is what you’re after, this is a good spot.
