The garden and pool gave us plenty of space to unwind, and there was also a games area with foosball and ping-pong. Breakfast was simple but very good, with bread, jam, butter, pastries, juice, and tea or coffee. I just wish it had been homemade, though that's a small thing. At Mas Moïse, I got a warm welcome from the friendly staff. The building is a beautiful old period property, still in its original state, with a grand staircase. Our room was clean and air-conditioned, with a bathroom, toilet, towels, and shower gel. The bed was comfortable, though the water heater broke on our last day. It's well placed, with bigger towns not too far away and a restaurant and wine shop right next door. Sauves is a lovely medieval village, with hiking routes such as the Sea of Rocks, plus small artisan shops to explore. I had a wonderful stay and would gladly return.

The room was in terrible shape for the price. The bathroom looked like it hadn't changed since the 80s, and that's being kind. The toilet barely worked, the terracotta tiles were lifting, and the noise was awful. There was no soundproofing between our room and the owners' next door, just a wooden connecting door, so we could hear them talking. The one bright spot was the man who welcomed us. He was filling in temporarily and was very kind and helpful.

Dogs are welcome, and nearby there's an excellent restaurant as well as a wine cellar and tapas bar, which made it easy to carry on the evening. We spent two nights at this cottage on a complimentary Smartbox, and found it a very pleasant break in a peaceful setting. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the rooms were spotless and well soundproofed, so we could relax even with other guests around. The pool was very clean and the grounds well cared for, though some parts of the property could use renovation and the decor could do with a refresh. The grounds have lots of potential.

The garden is splendid, and the staff were really friendly. It's a beautiful, peaceful place. The rooms are a bit dated, but perfectly satisfactory, and breakfast is simple with more than enough to eat.

We had a pleasant stay, and the room was comfortable with good bedding. The building is very old and kept much as it was, so some renovation would help. The bathroom needs updating too, especially the shower curtain, a shower door would be more suitable for a guest room.
