La Garenne

We had a delicious meal, and the plates were colorful, healthy, and appealing for both adults and children. The food was outstanding, and the service was lovely and friendly. Highly recommend!

The fish was tender and really tasty, and the service was good. The daily lunch menu is good value too. I’ll definitely be back!

After waiting more than ten minutes, we were told, “if you asked for it.. surely it'll come soon.” Another staff comment was, “Why are you looking at that? Do you want to help us cleaning?” Both remarks were completely out of place. The desserts weren’t any better than something from a regular “boulangerie”.

We felt at home at La Garenne. The atmosphere is lovely, and the staff seem like one big family. The hotel is beautiful, with a wood close by, and everything smelled so good. Our room had elegant decor and was absolutely spotless. Cleanliness was first class. The receptionist welcomed us with a big smile and looked after us throughout our stay. When we chatted with her before leaving, she spoke so warmly about her bosses. It was lovely to hear and seemed to show the healthy relationship the owners and staff have built. The restaurant food was outstanding, with top-notch French ingredients combined into dishes full of flavor. The attentive staff were always caring and smiling. New Year’s Eve dinner was superb, and there were even more people looking after guests. They were both professionally prepared and kind. Everyone helped us so much with the language, which we really appreciated. We travel a lot, and La Garenne and its people are now among our favorites. Thanks again for everything!
