Really good food and wine, with friendly service at this small hotel and restaurant. Dogs are welcome too.

Lunch and the atmosphere were the good parts. We spent two hours waiting and felt invisible for most of the visit. I know service can get busy, but it still shouldn’t leave people feeling that way. It took 15-20 minutes before we even got drinks.

We visited Roche Solutrée, then stopped for a weekday lunch without a reservation. The food was delicious, with generous portions and quality well worth the price. The menu had plenty of variety, including some Asian ingredients, and the chef is French. A real hidden gem and a great experience.

The lovely setting and attentive staff made a great backdrop for dinner. There was a fantastic menu and a local wine list, and the meal felt special in a satisfying way: foie gras, monkfish, cheese, then floating island for dessert. Everything was delicious.

10/10
The meal cost much less than the quality suggested. There was a good selection of white Burgundies and a broad choice of inventive dishes made with quality ingredients. Excellent lunch. This rating is for the restaurant only; we didn’t stay overnight at the hotel.
