The location and staff are great, and the room was clean and spacious. The toilet door was the main issue: it's a thin sliding door that doesn't lock and faces straight toward the beds, so there's little privacy when you're using the toilet. Parking was busy, but there was just about enough space. They also have two slow EV chargers.

The staff were friendly. When we arrived, there were stains inside the bathroom glass, and a Nesquik packet on the floor of our room. The curtain was in this condition too. There wasn't a vending machine or anywhere to buy water, which most hotels usually have.

The staff were the best part of the hotel: polite, friendly and helpful. It's about 15 minutes from the centre, with a bus station a two-minute walk away. There's an Asian place and a pizza spot around the corner, though they close early in the evening. The hotel itself is very basic. The room was old, the AC/heating kept switching off and wouldn't warm it as needed, the beds made noise with even the slightest movement, bathroom doors creaked, and water leaked in through the windows. Breakfast was repetitive across all three days, with the same menu and nothing special for Christmas. Service was extremely slow, and things kept running out, so you'd be left waiting or disappointed.

It's a little outside town, but there are lots of transport options. The parking was handy, and it was easy to find from the motorway. Staff were very nice and spoke English to help us, and they recognized my IHG status. Breakfast was very nice too.

It's more of a business hotel, but it worked well for our holiday as a reasonably priced option outside the city centre. The staff were great, and it's super dog friendly.
