The beds were comfortable, and the place is well situated for skiing or mountain biking nearby. I stayed here ten years ago when heavy snow had left everywhere else full. The owner made me feel very welcome, even arranging a meal outside the usual hours, and breakfast was great. The interior is old and rustic in a French way, but it wasn't dusty.

I’ve been back six or seven times, and it’s still one of my favourite places. The owners are superb, the food is fantastic, and the atmosphere feels lovely. The room has superb views, and it’s very biker friendly. Just lovely.

The setting on Col du Pt St Bernard is excellent, and the owners even provide tools, grease, oil and other bits free of charge, so basic bike repairs are no trouble. We came as a group of 17 bikers and found the hotel clean, welcoming and familiar, with friendly, helpful owners. The dinner was mixed: some of us liked the comfort food and some didn’t. The hotel looks a bit old, and the bathrooms could use better paint. Four out of five.

After a long ride on Le petit St Bernard in cold, rainy weather, we just needed somewhere to eat and sleep. The hostess gave us such a warm welcome. Our room was cozy, the view was lovely, and the bed was the best I’ve slept in. Dinner was excellent and tasty, and the place felt very romantic. We got everything we needed for the money.

We ended up here at short notice during our motorcycle tour of Europe because a road closure meant we couldn't reach the accommodation we'd booked. The ride up is amazing, with loads of twisty turns, and we even went up and down the road just to enjoy it. Sitting at the corner apex with a beer and watching the bikes come through was great. The host was lovely, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Some people call the place dated, but I’d say it’s traditional and really comfortable. We’ll definitely be back.
