Grange du Plessis

I had to find somewhere else to stay. I'd booked a night at this guesthouse, but when I got there the house was dark and empty. I waited and called for 30 minutes in below-zero temperatures, with no answer.

The owner really puts her heart into this place and goes the extra mile. You can feel that hospitality is taken seriously here. The rooms are fantastic, the setting is wonderful, and we felt very comfortable. We're extremely grateful for such a warm stay. Odile and Kerstin

We had a warm, friendly welcome and a good breakfast, which made this a lovely stop on our weekend. The house is beautiful, and our spacious room had superb bedding. A few things could use attention: we were short a second towel and a washcloth per person, and the shower fittings felt wobbly and worn. Sound carries very badly between rooms through the bathrooms, which was the bigger annoyance. A small TV might be nice too. At breakfast, I missed yogurt and a little ham, and fresh orange juice would be better. Still a nice stopover I'd recommend, with a few details to sort out.

The setting feels magical and quiet, and you can unwind with a walk or by the river, just 200 meters from the guesthouse. Our hosts were attentive and very pleasant, making the stay feel special. The room and bathroom were spotless, with a TV and good Wi-Fi. Breakfast was exceptional. A wonderful experience, and a must-see.
