A small restaurant serves very good local produce, and the hosts are friendly and welcoming. A lovely example of a family-run hotel in a French village, with thoughtful attention to detail.

The children settled right in, playing with the toys and reading the books in the TV room, and we felt at home too. Isabelle and Hugues were so welcoming, and even their dog Nala seemed happy to greet us. We stayed for just one night, but had a really pleasant time. Our meeting room beside the restaurant had been well prepared. There was a cot for one of my colleagues, and the children were happy. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the hearty meals and homemade breakfast were delicious. The hotel is a 10-15 minute drive from the Chabanon and Montclar ski resorts. The mountain views in front and behind the hotel are beautiful, and the setting is peaceful. We were very satisfied and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Isabelle and Hugues, and well done 😊

The rooms were a little cold on New Year's Eve, which was the one downside. Otherwise, this simple, clean hotel was well run and organized, with friendly, courteous staff. We were half-board, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent, better than at many other hotels in France. It was also a great base for excursions.

The owners are lovely and really know how to make guests feel welcome. We had a wonderful stay, with a pleasant hotel, a fantastic breakfast, and excellent food featuring a good range of high-quality local products. Dogs are welcome too. Nala was a great playmate and walking companion. Don't hesitate to stay here.

We had a quiet stay in a really convenient location. The hosts were lovely and attentive, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. An incredible experience at Relais de la Forge, highly recommended!
