I had a confirmed reservation, but more than a week later, as I was boarding my flight to France, I got an email saying the hotel had cancelled it. By then it was too late to find somewhere else in a foreign country. I tried to sort it out by phone and email, without success. My emails got no reply, and international calls went straight to voicemail. The hotel is now saying in response to my review that I called to cancel, but the screenshot of their email clearly says they cancelled because of a credit card issue. They had checked that same card a week earlier when confirming my booking. If there was a problem, why not contact me to ask for another card? This is a small town with very few places to stay, and the last-minute cancellation turned my three-day trip into a real hell. This was the most unethical and unprofessional hotel I've ever dealt with.

My room looked onto a lorry transport yard, and the noise disturbed me from 6.00. Breakfast had to be ordered ahead, since the traditional "Buffet a volonté" had been closed, for some reason, maybe the pandemic. It was acceptable, but not outstanding. France has better budget hotel chains.

The rooms are small, but clean and laid out well. A decent budget hotel, though the restaurant doesn't stay open late and there's no bar on site.

Honestly, I didn't expect much, but the place surprised me. The staff were great, everything was clean, and there was air conditioning. The restaurant next door had edible food and clean water.
