Le Mas Romantique

Cockroaches in the sheets, just hours after we arrived. We reported it, but the establishment flatly refused to refund the full stay. That response was every bit as disappointing as the discovery. In my opinion, this level of hygiene borders on indecent for a place that claims to welcome guests. The mix of what I see as bad faith and nonchalance leaves me speechless. I feel the establishment showed profound disrespect for its guests, and I’m sharing what happened so others can avoid the same experience.

The privacy was practically nonexistent, with double curtains you could see straight through. There was a musty smell from the jacuzzi, plus sewage odors. For €200 a night, there wasn’t even a bottle of water in the fridge. I’ve booked love rooms of a much higher standard with better service for a lot less. The price needs reviewing, and basic hygiene and service would be appreciated. My husband booked the Friday night for our 14th birthday, and we were very disappointed when we arrived. The room was about 30 square meters, with a small jacuzzi, sauna, bed, dining table, and kitchen all crammed in. We hated the bed linen, which didn’t fit the romantic theme, and the decor looked dated. The lights didn’t work, nor did the air conditioning or TV remotes. The bathroom was tiny, and washing my face at the sink was a real challenge. I couldn’t find anywhere for my toiletries, though somehow a black hair had found a spot.

It was the first time here for my sweetheart and me, and we had a fantastic time, such a treat ❤️ The owner was incredibly kind and arrived early. The place was clean, welcoming, and a wonderful discovery.

The hot tub and little sauna were delightful, and the romantic suite was superb. We got a really warm welcome, and everything was very clean, with an excellent breakfast too. My husband and I stayed on Thursday, August 14th for our 10th anniversary, and we loved this romantic getaway. We’d gladly return!
