Le Saint Mamet D'Eux

Absolutely sublime!

You might be drawn in by the music and the waiter, but there’s lovely balance to the whole experience. The fresh cooking brings a dazzling range of new flavors, and whether you sit in the private garden or indoors, it’s easy to lose track of time. Then there’s a staircase leading up to a peaceful, comfortable room. Why wait?

There was no one to greet us when we left in the morning, after a sleepless night that was deeply disappointing for my partner and me. The hotel looked welcoming at first, but the room was a disaster: dust and little spiders were visible, the soundproofing was poor, there was no privacy, and noise from downstairs went on constantly. The shower water was only lukewarm, the place looked worn and badly maintained, and the bed was extremely hard, like a board. The pillows weren’t any better. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

I booked a room here at the last minute by chance, since the hotel was on my route. The quiet atmosphere was a welcome change from the usual standardized rooms. It was too late for me to try the restaurant.
