The owners were welcoming and attentive, and the bedding was impeccable. It’s quiet, and the air conditioning is essential. Inside, everything has been tastefully renovated, with a real Provence feel. Outside, the gate opens onto a small olive grove beside a huge circular pool. Sérignan-du-Comtat is well placed for walks and historical sites. We’ll come back and try Mont Ventoux!

Review April 2021: The hosts may seem very nice, but their actions didn’t match that impression. The price was truly excessive for amenities that were promised but unavailable: no swimming pool, no foosball table, and no discounts. They also demanded an extra €80 for cleaning, or for a thorough bleach clean, even though the place itself wasn’t clean. The coffee maker was dirty, our feet turned black from walking barefoot, and there were cobwebs everywhere. They required a €1000 security deposit, which was returned only after a very long, suspicious inspection at an inappropriate hour, despite us telling them the day before that we’d leave at 6:00 AM. The house seems poorly insulated. We either had to endure noisy fans all night, vibrating strongly even on their lowest setting, or wake up to a temperature that had fallen from 21°C at bedtime to 16°C in the morning. I strongly advise against staying here. Better places cost much less. Edited response to the owner (2022): If services are reduced in the off-season, then I think the price should be adjusted to match. What I said was factual. Our feet were dirty, and a 5°C temperature drop in a few hours doesn’t seem normal for an enclosed space that, as you say, is very well insulated. Thanks for the ad hominem attack. I did pay, I regretted it at the time, and I regret it even more now. There wasn’t any particular mistral wind while we were there, and when we went out in the sun, there were many of us. My grandmother had already died. We were there for her funeral. Your whole comment comes across as sad, bitter, mean, and contemptuous. That isn’t what you’d expect from a host.

The cottage was very clean and well equipped, and we got an excellent welcome. Thank you, Pascal and Guy.
