Gite Marie de Serles

We still think of Patrik and Marie as dear friends. We've stayed at their charming B&B twice, for four days in September 2014 and another three in September 2017. The spacious place was very clean, with lovely views over the rolling hills, and it's close to Montceau les Mines, several chateaux, Abbeyesand Mont St Vincent. On our way to Paris, they gave us goat cheeses, sandwiches and crepes for the journey. Merci, dear friends. We'd love to return, if GOD wants.

Patrick and Marie are delightful hosts, and the guesthouse is a peaceful place to stay. It's a 19th-century building surrounded by nature, with sweeping views across the countryside and a tasteful mix of modern and antique decor. I had a wonderful holiday here and would highly recommend it.

Our family reunion here was lovely, though the stay felt far too short. Everyone, young and old, will remember Marie and Patrick's kindness and how comfortable their home was. The rooms are very spacious, the bedding is good quality, and breakfast brought delicious crepes and omelets. The setting is MAGNIFICENT, and the welcome was just as wonderful. Go with confidence, you won't be disappointed!

Breakfast was perfect, and Marie and Patrick welcomed us so warmly. My uncle and I are from the region, so we stayed up talking over old memories, with Patrick's invaluable help. We came away feeling we'd found real friends, not just hosts. The guesthouse has refined comfort, and everything was perfect. Thank you so much, I highly recommend this magnificent place.
