Residence Alba Rossa

The employees who welcomed us were very nice, though they couldn’t do anything about the condition of the installations because each residence belongs to an individual owner. It’s organized as a co-owners syndicat rather than a holiday residence. Alba Rossa has a great view and environment, but the infrastructure is in poor shape and needs a lot of repairs and cleaning. The flats are also too close together for much privacy. If a great view is what you want, this is the place. If you like a tidy place, run!

I booked a stay and the reservation was quickly confirmed. The next day I saw they had tried to call, so I emailed right away to ask whether everything was okay with the booking. They never replied. A few days later, they emailed to say they were sorry I had canceled. When I called the hotel, I was told they’d had trouble charging my credit card and canceled the reservation without giving me a chance to try another card or payment method. I tried to book again just minutes after the cancellation, but the house was blocked for my dates. I called again and they weren’t available to find a solution. Honestly, it seemed like an overbooking situation and they chose the guest who would stay longer. It’s a shame they showed so little respect for customers.

The apartments are average quality but well equipped, and the residence is quiet and suitable for children. The beach is beautiful and quiet too, about a 20-minute walk away or accessible by car. It’s a secluded place. Just be prepared for narrow, winding roads on arrival.
