Disneyland Paris

We went in November, and the cold, rainy weather came with shorter lines. The parks felt well organized, and visiting in the off-season made for a really good experience. With 2-3 days, you can comfortably see both Disneyland Park, the larger one with the castle, and the smaller Walt Disney Studios Park. Summer, especially June or July, is busier and can mean long waits. The nighttime castle show is beautiful but draws a crowd, so arrive early. The park app also lets you reserve a VIP viewing area if you want a guaranteed good spot. You can bring your own food, and there are water fountains in the restrooms to refill bottles. We stayed opposite Val d’Europe shopping center, near restaurants and a grocery store. A car can be useful but isn't essential: our hotel ran a shuttle to the park every hour, and an RER station was nearby. We got a hotel and park ticket package for every day, which was definitely a better deal than buying tickets separately.

The costs add up fast. Tickets, meals, and souvenirs are expensive, food quality is only average for the price, and Premier Access or fast passes mean spending even more. Long waits, especially on weekends and holidays, can be frustrating. Service is uneven too: some staff were lovely and helpful, while others seemed rushed or uninterested. Still, Disneyland Paris has the atmosphere you'd hope for, and it's worth seeing at least once, especially with kids or if you're a Disney fan. Sleeping Beauty Castle is a highlight and feels especially magical during the nighttime lights and fireworks. The park is beautifully designed, with parades, Disney characters, family rides, and a few thrill rides. Big Thunder Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Hyperspace Mountain were standouts for me. Walt Disney Studios Park has improved over the years, but it still feels smaller and less exciting than the main Disneyland Park. It's an enjoyable, memorable visit, though planning ahead helps you make the most of it despite the crowds and prices.

The rides were a hit with the kids, especially Pirates of the Caribbean, which they loved most. It's a great experience with children, and the park is well managed inside with all the services you need. There's plenty to enjoy, from snacks and shopping to games. Buy tickets online to avoid long lines and waits. Since each ride can have a 20-40 minute wait depending on crowds, you might not cover the whole park in one day. Get in when it opens, and by 7.00 or 8.00 pm you should have seen most of it.

The parade was the highlight for me, absolutely breathtaking. Seeing so many familiar Disney characters riding by felt like all the storybook favorites from childhood had suddenly come to life. Disneyland Paris was the best part of my trip and had me feeling like a kid again. Even in March, which is generally considered off-season, waits of 1 to 1.5 hours were pretty common. That's a reasonable trade-off for fewer crowds than in peak summer, but be ready to wait for the rides you want. Comfortable shoes and the park app helped, especially for checking wait times. It's such a joyful escape and a truly enchanting day.
