We had a great stay. Check-in was quick, and our room was spacious and very clean. The walk to Disneyland took about 20 minutes and was pleasant. There wasn’t a Do Not Disturb sign to hang outside, so housekeeping came by at 10:00. When she saw I was in the room, she stayed outside and professionally asked whether I needed fresh towels or anything else. It didn’t bother me.

We felt safe here, even coming back after midnight. The residence closes at 8pm, but after that you can use your key to get into the front door and your room. The receptionist and cleaners were both polite and welcoming. It’s a 10-minute walk from the train station, then only a couple of minutes to Marne la Valle Disneyland. The huge commercial center, including the Auchan supermarket where you can get everything you need, is about a 5-minute walk away. Our room was clean, with two single beds pushed together. I prefer that to the sofa beds some apartments provide, and it wasn’t a problem. The bathroom had a shower, one shower gel, and three shampoos for our three-night stay, but no toothpaste or slippers. The small kitchen had a coffee machine, kettle, microwave, and fridge, which was great. We didn’t eat anything there, so I can’t comment on the food. I’d definitely stay again in Val d'europe.

Reception was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and nice. Residents can use the gym, massage room, and pool from 8 am to 8 pm. Disneyland is about a 20-minute walk, with the town’s shops and places to eat 5-10 minutes away on foot.

I only found out after booking for Disney that this was a retirement home. Still, 10/10, I’d stay again. You can find me at the bingo table.
