ibis budget Sète Centre

The air conditioning and the fan in our room were both broken. We told the front desk staff, but even with the evening temperature over 30 degrees celsius, they didn’t seem to care or offer us another room. We ended up propping our door open so cooler air from the hallway could get in, just so we could sleep. This is a budget hotel, so the rooms are simple and basic, but that wasn’t the main issue. The breakfast was surprisingly good, with plenty of options. I won’t use Ibis again.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated. The hotel’s overall condition, though, was poor. Renovation workers crowded the restaurant at breakfast, making it hard for guests to move around. That needs better organization to keep guests comfortable. Our room also had problems, including a broken shower. The facilities and the way things are managed during renovations both need improvement.

I spent five nights in Room 105 at Ibis Budget Sète, and the lack of cleanliness made the stay a constant frustration. The bathroom had grime and dirt built up around the door frame, and the carpet was filthy, especially in the corners and along the edges. There was debris and dirt scattered over it, and stains on the floor had been left there too. The room felt neglected and unhygienic from the moment I arrived. I raised the problems with staff, but they made little to no effort to fix them. I was left in a room that was uncomfortable and well below basic cleanliness standards. I know Ibis Budget is a no-frills brand, but a hotel still needs to be clean. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless housekeeping improves significantly.
