Les Suites The Marcel

Parking was the main drawback for us. The underground parking du Canal is the only option, though it’s secure and conveniently 300m from the apartment. It costs €20+ per day. The €20 breakfast also seemed steep when there are 3 bakeries less than a minute’s walk away. We stayed in the two bedroom Los Angeles. It’s a huge apartment in an extremely central location, with a canal view and a small garden/terrace. It was very clean, comfortable and luxurious, with good aircon, comfortable pillows, a pitch black room and perfect WiFi. There’s a Nespresso machine, Occitane toiletries, bathrobes, and both a bath and a bath with nice bathrobes. The host communicated flawlessly on WhatsApp and gave us all the details for an easy self-checkin. We highly recommend it, and The Marcel, the one star Michelin restaurant around the corner.

Suite Los Angeles was spacious, with large, comfy beds, a small balcony and a lovely terrace where we could sit in dappled shade. Everything was cleaned and refreshed daily, and the modern design felt comfortable. We sometimes had the mini breakfast and sometimes the larger one, both with delicious pastries, bread and fresh coffee. Les Suites is a relaxed, clean and convenient place to stay in the centre of Sète. Boats drift peacefully past the window on the canal, and cafes and bars are just steps away. Les Halles market is only a few minutes off, a treat for anyone who loves food. We’d highly recommend staying here.

Wow, the design is what really makes this mini-apartment stand out from others in Sète. The furniture, artwork and books in the little library in each room all feel carefully chosen, and even the scent of the soap and the dishes add to the pleasure of being there. It’s so comfortable and well located, with excellent value for money. You almost want to stay in and never leave. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you to the artists at Marcel.

Nora and Lou-Anne are lovely, thank you! I can’t wait to return to this beautiful place and wander the atmospheric streets, enjoy the quays, and take in Les Halles with all its treasures for passersby. The room is just perfect, with dreamy photos that make it feel like we’re travelling all night. Great location, delicious breakfast, photo books to browse, and a little kitchen that would make a big one blush. 👍
