The location is very handy for Col de Tamié and Albertville, but the cleanliness was a real concern. Dust was everywhere, including on the dishes left out in the open, and the freezer was dirty and moldy. There was also some unfinished food left in the accommodation. The bedroom is hard to get into if you’re a larger person, and the sofa bed is poor quality. Watch out for the supplied sheets, they’re too small. On the ground floor there are curtains but no shutters, while upstairs there are neither curtains nor shutters. I wouldn’t recommend staying just one night. After a thorough clean, it might work for a longer stay.

The setting is beautiful and the location is ideal. Our host was friendly and helpful, and responded quickly whenever we asked for something. The price was very reasonable for what we got. We stayed in June. A few simple things could make the stay better: curtains in the bedroom to soften the bright morning light, more cutlery since there were no table knives, a check on the toiletries, and the sofa bed made up instead of having the sheets tossed inside. Apart from those minor details, we had a pleasant stay.

We had such an enjoyable stay at Le P'tit Tavalan, with Aurélie and Romain as fantastic hosts. The peaceful setting is superb, and from the terrace we could see the snow-capped mountains. I highly recommend it.
