The house has basic amenities and was clean, with stone walls, a lovely balcony, and terraces. It’s an authentic Provence home where lavender scents drift over the surrounding fields and everything feels absolutely tranquil. Aix-en-Provence is 80 minutes away, and within a 30-minute drive there are excellent restaurants, including Abbaye de la Saint-Valsaintes and Saint-Hubert in the nearby village, with its carefully presented dishes and beautiful terrace.

The cottage has plenty of comfortable little corners to relax in, and the linen and towels are good quality. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, crockery, and glassware. The hosts welcomed us with wine and pastries, which everyone enjoyed. You can see the tender loving care that’s gone into this homely cottage in the small hamlet of Cheyran, and we appreciated the attention to detail.

We loved our stay in this quaint cottage. It’s private and remote, while still just a short drive from the beautiful hilltop village of Simiane-La-Rotonde. The hosts were incredibly kind and responsive. What an amazing place, I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

A well equipped, beautiful old house with two bedrooms in rural Provence. A good fit if you’re after solitude and a break from busy life.

We had a great week, and the weather was really nice. The place has real charm and makes a great base for visiting Provence’s beautiful villages and green markets, with all sorts of great places 15-45 minutes away.
