ibis budget Sisteron

A good stop on our trip, with clean rooms, a welcoming atmosphere, and helpful staff, most of whom spoke English. There was shaded parking for motorcycles, and best of all, a pool. Breakfast was good too. It's three miles from the lovely Sisteron centre, so we didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, though it seemed busy when we got back. We'd be happy to stay again.

It is what it is, a no-frills bed for the night. Clean, comfortable, and well presented, with a good breakfast too. No problem staying here again.

This is a poor imitation of B&B Hôtel. The banister is broken, and every soft close is faulty, so all the doors slam. There was no staff member to deal with a customer shouting at everyone in the corridor. The rooms are cramped, the reading lights are brighter than the main light, and the light switches have a very bright indicator that stays on above the bed. In reply to Ibis's answer: the vending machines were broken and not working. Are you seriously expecting guests to act as security guards? There are no such issues at Hotel B&B, which operates the same way. This wasn't budget, either. I paid more than I did for a staffed Campanile the night before. It was on a par with a Formule 1. The banister is dangerous and loose. Suggesting otherwise is a shameful lie, and I included photos. You haven't addressed the faulty soft close on the doors or the lack of mattress covers. With some upkeep and better light switches, your hotel could be great, but you prefer to lie!

I've stayed a couple of times and would probably come back. The hotel is decent, maybe 3.5 out of 5, though not really a 4. The rooms are clean but look a bit tired, just standard Ibis. Breakfast is okay, except for the awful yellow slime eggs that seem to be at all Accor hotels in France now. There's no bike rack, but a wooden shed by the entrance keeps the rain off. The hotel is well outside Sisteron, near a local retail park. There's also an abattoir nearby, and one day the smell of rotting animal remains drifted over. There's an Ibis Budget next door, and sometimes Trivago mixes up the photos and prices. Make sure you book the right one.
