We could hear the sea, just a minute's walk away, and were surrounded by greenery at Villa Roka. It's a peaceful place by the water. The owner is very friendly and tries to help.

The damp in the rooms made it hard for us to breathe, and we only managed to stay two days. It doesn’t feel like a hotel, a hostel, or the comfort of someone’s home, and we weren’t satisfied at all. You shouldn’t expect privacy either, as the elderly owners can show up at any time, which felt quite unsettling.

We parked the car and walked everywhere since everything was close by. The villa had everything we needed, and its spot right by the sea felt like a little piece of paradise. We spent five fantastic nights there, and the staff gave us such a warm welcome. :)

The room was pleasant and roomy, and worked well for a couple with two children. We had two keys but no one explained whether the spare one opened the shared areas. The outside space is lovely, though it needs some upkeep. The welcome was disappointing, worse than at an apartment hotel: we were handed the keys and never saw anyone again, not even when we left.

Such a lovely setting, with plants, goldfish, and a fountain. The welcome was so warm, it felt like being at home with family. After this difficult time for everyone, that was especially comforting. Just too good.
