The setting is really pretty, flies aside, but there isn't much to do here. Staff weren't often around, though they explained the rules and knew enough English to help before we went to our room. Room 4 was awful for our group of five: hot and stuffy, with windows that only opened about 15 cm. It was 28°C outside and felt closer to 31°C indoors. We also ran short on toilet paper and there was no hand soap. For a place rated 4.7 stars, there's quite a bit to improve.

We went with my school group recently, and it was a really bad stay. The food was awful, and friends who had been promised alternatives didn't get them. The staff were unfriendly, and one of them physically assaulted my friends. My friends and I had to sleep on mattresses on the floor. There were ants everywhere, along with lots of mosquitoes. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Good value, and it worked well as a base for touring Normandy and Caen.
