Terre Des Sens

We had a pleasant family reunion at a very good site, though the service left us disappointed. Traffic from the nearby road was extremely heavy and noisy, and we were unlucky to have a major box tree moth invasion that disrupted our evenings and nights. That wasn’t the hosts’ fault. The indoor pool, jacuzzi, and hammam were good quality, but we were told they were expensive to run and limited to one use per weekend. The welcome also felt distant and not very friendly. The owners live in the same house, and their children were visiting that weekend, so they kept the shaded terrace we would have liked to use. We were given another terrace behind the house instead. Since our large group was there for a cousin reunion and the site can accommodate many people, we also had to share the pool and jacuzzi with the owners’ family. We declined the offered €150 cleaning package, but still found some corners of the rooms short of minimum cleanliness. Taken together, the service felt overvalued.

We spent a great week together as a family. The cottage was roomy and pleasant, and each bedroom had its own bathroom. With the weather so cool and damp, having the large indoor pool was especially welcome. The kitchen was the one drawback, since it faces the courtyard and is a bit far away.

The cottage had plenty of space and everything we needed, and we loved the view over the Vercors mountains and the Drôme river. We came as a family and made good use of the pool, hammam, and jacuzzi. Such a lovely place, I’d highly recommend it!

The outdoor spaces were nice and safe, so the children could play freely, and the pool was lovely. We had a wonderful weekend with 14 adults, and there was room for everyone to have their own space. With so many showers and toilets, it never felt crowded. Thank you!
