By the time I reached Steenvoorde, I was exhausted and feeling rough. I'm an English long-distance truck driver, and usually I'd have just stayed in the cab. The night before, at Dijon Spoye services, I woke at 03.00 to find a bandit had taken my phone, the tablet I loved, and the Bose headphones my daughter and son had just given me. My clothes were scattered around the truck park too. I carried on, rang the doorbell, and a kind gentleman came out and checked me in. I slept so well in a fantastic room, with the best walk-in rainforest shower 🚿 I've had anywhere in Europe. Breakfast was amazing, and the lovely people made me feel welcome even though I wasn't looking my best. Thank you.

The garden is lovely, and parking inside felt safe. Breakfast was fresh with plenty of choice, and the bathroom was big. The rooms are new and really well designed, with a huge Smart TV and free Wi-Fi. The owner is very friendly and speaks good English. I've never seen a B&B looking this good. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

The French breakfast was really good, and the host was helpful. Everything was very clean and quiet, so it made for a perfect stay. The pictures speak for themselves.
